7 Things I’ve Learnt About The Law Of Attraction
The law of attraction is the belief that we attract whatever thoughts we focus on. For example, if we focus on positive thoughts, we attract positive experiences into our lives and focusing on negative thoughts can attract negative experiences. It suggests that the magnetic power of the universe draws similar energies together.
Over the past year I’ve been watching videos and read articles about the law of attraction after stumbling across a video by Leeor Alexandra on YouTube. These are the main things I have learnt so far…

1) Be grateful
To be able to manifest the positive experiences that you want, you have to be grateful. One way of practising being grateful is writing down something or things that you are grateful for regularly. This raises your "positive vibrations/energies" because it promotes positive thoughts, meaning that you are more likely to attract more positive things in your life.
2) Don’t think in "lack"
Expanding from the "be grateful" point, it is important that we don’t think in "lack of". We must appreciate the good things we already have in our lives and focus on being grateful for these things instead of focusing on what we’re missing. One thing I learnt from a video I watched is that if you’re constantly thinking about not having certain things (e.g. lack of money), you decrease your chances of attracting what you want. This is because you’re focusing on the negatives of not having something instead of being grateful for what you already have and what is yet to come. Instead of saying "I’m so broke, I have no money", you should ask the universe (or whatever higher power you believe in) for the opportunity to get money and know that it will come.
3) Make positive affirmations
You can write down or tell yourself (or both) positive affirmations. Tell yourself that you’re smart, that you’re beautiful, that you can achieve anything you want to and you will see that you are those things. A lot of people would say that this is easier said than done, I used to think so too. When I was first learning about this, I didn’t think it would work. I thought that, yeah, you could tell yourself these positive things, but if you don’t actually believe it then what’s the point? But, if you do think negatively about yourself, the only person stopping you from changing your mindset is yourself. Just like when you tell yourself negative things about yourself and you believe them, if you tell yourself positive things enough times, you will eventually believe them. It might take time but there’s no harm in trying.
